The Hammond List

The Hammond Technical List is an e-mail distribution list of people interested in the technical aspects of the Hammond organ, Leslie Speaker, their clones, accessories, organ playing, and other closely related issues.

This list is in no way connected to or supported by the Hammond Organ Company or Hammond Suzuki USA, Inc., though members do include Hammond Authorized Service Shops.  Other members include sales and service providers, suppliers, technicians, do-it-yourselfers, and players.

The mail volume on this list averages 40 to 100 messages per day, and subscription is required in order to post a message or access the archives.

To improve security and prevent spam, the list owners reserve the right to refuse subscription requests from certain web-based e-mail services.

To subscribe, send mail to listserv@mail.hamtech.org with only the following text in the message body:

                        subscribe hamtech

To unsubscribe, simply send unsubscribe hamtech to the same address.

NOTE:  New subscriptions are prevented from sending mail during the first two weeks of membership.  New members are asked to use that time to become familiar with the pages below:

Hamtech's posting guidelines explain the rules everyone is expected to follow when posting to the list.  In general, please play nice, edit quoted material to a minimum in replies, and avoid HTML formatting in messages.

The list archives are accessible only to current list members, and can be searched or browsed by month.

The Hammond-Leslie FAQ also includes a models list, some schematics, and a section listing parts and service suppliers' contact information.

Members wishing to modify their subscription options (switch to or from digest mode, etc.) can do so here.

If you've never been on a mailing list before, here's a basic guide to how things work.

The list admins can be contacted at admin@hamtech.org.
